Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Chris Vasell was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2017. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,455.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Vasell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Urine Burn (Burned Mind), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,704.21).
