Despite a disappointment, a good price for Chris Vasell
When the work Urine Burn (Burned Mind) by Chris Vasell was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,704.21). Despite this disappointing result, Urine Burn (Burned Mind) is the most expensive artwork by Chris Vasell that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Urine Burn (Burned Mind) von Chris Vasell im April 2008 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 23.300,00 (€ 29.704,21) den Besitzer.
