Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chiho Aoshima could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in February 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art auction, the work Rinko-Chan on the Building changed hands for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,434.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chiho Aoshima have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work City Glow in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chiho Aoshima konnte im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Rinko-Chan on the Building für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.434,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit City Glow im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37).
