Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chiho Aoshima could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Japanese Apricot 3 - A Pink Dream changed hands for HKD 126,000.00 (€ 13,686.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chiho Aoshima - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work City Glow, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chiho Aoshima konnte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction wechselte die Arbeit Japanese Apricot 3 - A Pink Dream für HKD 126.000,00 (€ 13.686,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit City Glow beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37) versteigert wurde.
