However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Zhen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Opening Of A Closed Center, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 199.534,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29) versteigert wurde.
