Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Untitled 2 by Chen Yu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,112.26), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled No. 4, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 55,483.87).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Untitled 2 von Chen Yu kam im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.112,26) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled No. 4, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 55.483,87).
