Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled 1 by Chen Yu was worth HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,578.24) to a buyer in June 2021. This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: Modern and Contemporary Art Online at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Chen Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled No. 4, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 55,483.87).

Die Arbeit Untitled 1 von Chen Yu war einem Käufer im Juni 2021 HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.578,24) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: Modern and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled No. 4, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 55.483,87).
