Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled No. 3 - 2006 by Chen Yu was worth HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,366.87) to a buyer in January 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Chen Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled No. 4, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 55,483.87).

Die Arbeit Untitled No. 3 - 2006 von Chen Yu war einem Käufer im Januar 2021 HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.366,87) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled No. 4, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 55.483,87).
