Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled No. 5 A+B+C by Chen Yu for HKD 52,920.00 (€ 6,398.41). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chen Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled No. 4, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 55,483.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled No. 5 A+B+C von Chen Yu für HKD 52.920,00 (€ 6.398,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled No. 4, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 55.483,87).
