Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Pines at Sunset by Charles Warren Eaton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,646.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Warren Eaton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pines at Sunset von Charles Warren Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.120,00 (€ 2.646,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
