Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Edge Of The Woods by Charles Warren Eaton. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,012.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Warren Eaton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape, which sold at auction in February 2005 for USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edge Of The Woods von Charles Warren Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.012,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape beobachtet, die im Februar 2005 für USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60) versteigert wurde.
