Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Landscape, Dunes and Water by Charles Warren Eaton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 688.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Warren Eaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, Dunes and Water von Charles Warren Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 688,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
