Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Under the Willows by Charles Warren Eaton was sold in the American Works of Art auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 4,080.00 (€ 4,170.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Charles Warren Eaton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Under the Willows von Charles Warren Eaton wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Works of Art bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 4.170,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
