In April 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Villa Monasterio, Lake Como by Charles Warren Eaton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,204.91), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Warren Eaton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).

Im April 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Villa Monasterio, Lake Como von Charles Warren Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.204,91) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
