In June 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Graham Arader Sale, which included the work Springtime by Charles Warren Eaton. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,566.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Warren Eaton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Graham Arader Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Springtime von Charles Warren Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.566,33) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
