Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Warren Eaton could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Forest landscape changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 542.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Warren Eaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Warren Eaton konnte im Februar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Forest landscape für USD 687,50 (€ 542,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Warren Eaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
