Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Snow Covered Fields by Charles Warren Eaton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,590.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Warren Eaton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape, which sold at auction in February 2005 for USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).
