This artwork by Charles Ray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2013. In the First Open: Summer Edition auction, the work The Most Beautiful Woman in the World (Parkett 37) sold for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,635.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aluminum Girl in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 4,282,500.00 (€ 3,463,684.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Ray erzielte im Juli 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Summer Edition wurde die Arbeit The Most Beautiful Woman in the World (Parkett 37) für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.635,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aluminum Girl im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.282.500,00 (€ 3.463.684,89).
