Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Becoming by Charles LeDray. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,705.00 (€ 13,760.61). Admittedly, works by Charles LeDray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Becoming von Charles LeDray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.705,00 (€ 13.760,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles LeDray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
