Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Chakaia Booker. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 58,708.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Chakaia Booker have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2021 the work Yearnings Unchecked was auctioned for USD 94,500.00 (€ 79,760.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chakaia Booker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 58.708,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden.
