Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Chakaia Booker was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in June this year. The price achieved of USD 1,080.00 (€ 989.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chakaia Booker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yearnings Unchecked in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 94,500.00 (€ 79,760.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chakaia Booker wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.080,00 (€ 989,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chakaia Booker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yearnings Unchecked im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 79.760,30).
