Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Femme En Rouge Assise Sur Un Banc by Chaïm Soutine. The price achieved of USD 1,695,000.00 (€ 1,496,953.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaïm Soutine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Bœuf in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme En Rouge Assise Sur Un Banc von Chaïm Soutine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.695.000,00 (€ 1.496.953,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chaïm Soutine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Bœuf im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.165.000,00 (€ 25.618.519,19).
