Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Have You Seen Krishna In These Parts? by Carol Bove was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,640.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carol Bove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Lovers in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Have You Seen Krishna In These Parts? von Carol Bove im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.640,71) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Lovers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63).
