Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Ars Moriendo by Carol Bove was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2017. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,776.27), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carol Bove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Lovers in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ars Moriendo von Carol Bove wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.776,27) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Lovers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63).
