Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Arrabal de Paris by Carlos Nadal. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,127.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Nadal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Molino, which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,199.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arrabal de Paris von Carlos Nadal zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.127,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Nadal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Molino beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.199,27) versteigert wurde.
