In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Sin título by Carlos Mérida. The »bidding war« ended at USD 189,000.00 (€ 176,125.24), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carlos Mérida; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot El Pequeño Venado sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 212,500.00 (€ 190,600.05).

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin título von Carlos Mérida zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 176.125,24) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carlos Mérida; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit El Pequeño Venado im Mai 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 190.600,05).
