Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Dancers by Carlos Mérida for USD 576.00 (€ 544.22). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Mérida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work El Pequeño Venado in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 190,600.05).

Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dancers von Carlos Mérida für USD 576,00 (€ 544,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Mérida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit El Pequeño Venado im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 190.600,05).
