Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Transchromies by Carlos Cruz-Diez for USD 3,556.00 (€ 3,364.88). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Cruz-Diez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Physichromie Panam in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 879,000.00 (€ 776,296.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Transchromies von Carlos Cruz-Diez für USD 3.556,00 (€ 3.364,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Cruz-Diez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Physichromie Panam im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 879.000,00 (€ 776.296,03).
