Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Sewing by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,261.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sewing von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.261,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72).
