The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 22,717.03), 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Robert Holty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2021 for USD 75,600.00 (€ 63,722.18).
