Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Rmb City: A Second Life City Planning 06 by Cao Fei for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,276.14). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Cao Fei have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2009 by the work Silent Curse, Nada At Home, Diversionist And City Watcher (Four Works) at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 16,392.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rmb City: A Second Life City Planning 06 von Cao Fei für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.276,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Cao Fei wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2009 die Arbeit Silent Curse, Nada At Home, Diversionist And City Watcher (Four Works) mit HKD 187.500,00 (€ 16.392,75).
