The work Communication Series 4, Beijing, Temple of Heaven by Cang Xin was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,334.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cang Xin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmony of Nature and Human Series in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,295.74).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Communication Series 4, Beijing, Temple of Heaven von Cang Xin wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.334,67) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cang Xin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmony of Nature and Human Series im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 29.295,74).
