In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Cortadores De Madeira changed hands for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,724.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cândido Portinari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meninos soltando pipas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,443,750.00 (€ 1,111,603.02).
