Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Bordeaux by Budd Hopkins was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,335.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Budd Hopkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work City Sun Iii in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,369.97).
