Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Large Double Double by Brent Wadden was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,136.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brent Wadden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alignment (13), which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 172,723.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Large Double Double von Brent Wadden wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.136,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brent Wadden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alignment (13) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 172.723,46) versteigert wurde.
