Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Untitled by Brent Wadden. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,164.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brent Wadden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alignment (13) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 172,723.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled von Brent Wadden zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.164,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brent Wadden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alignment (13) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 122.500,00 (€ 172.723,46).
