Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marble by Brendan Lynch was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,610.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Lynch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 16,875.00 (€ 23,268.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marble von Brendan Lynch kam im Februar 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.610,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Lynch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 16.875,00 (€ 23.268,12) versteigert wurde.
