Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included this untitled work by Brendan Lynch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,125.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brendan Lynch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 16,875.00 (€ 23,268.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Brendan Lynch zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.125,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brendan Lynch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.875,00 (€ 23.268,12).
