In July 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave, which included the work Balloons by Brendan Lynch. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,115.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brendan Lynch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 16,875.00 (€ 23,268.12).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balloons von Brendan Lynch zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.115,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brendan Lynch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.875,00 (€ 23.268,12).
