Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bose Krishnamachari achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Stretched Bodies sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,457.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bose Krishnamachari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stretched Bodies, 2007, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 37,176.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bose Krishnamachari erzielte im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Stretched Bodies für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.457,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bose Krishnamachari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stretched Bodies, 2007 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 37.176,00 versteigert wurde.
