Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From Case History 1997-8) Two Works by Boris Mikhailov was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,934.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Mikhailov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 57,500.00 (€ 67,112.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (From Case History 1997-8) Two Works von Boris Mikhailov kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.934,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Mikhailov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.500,00 (€ 67.112,80).
