Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bharti Kher could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Misdemeanors changed hands for USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,390.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bharti Kher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bharti Kher konnte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Misdemeanors für USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.390,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bharti Kher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55).
