Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Another Strange Encounter by Bharti Kher for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,364.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bharti Kher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Another Strange Encounter von Bharti Kher für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.364,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bharti Kher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55).
