Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Betty Parsons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Orenda II sold for USD 16,875.00 (€ 14,488.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Betty Parsons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 113,327.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Betty Parsons erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Orenda II für USD 16.875,00 (€ 14.488,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Betty Parsons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 113.327,88).
