In July this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Betty Parsons. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,795.83), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Betty Parsons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 113,327.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Betty Parsons zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 9.795,83) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Betty Parsons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 113.327,88).
