Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Totem-Materia-R by Betty Parsons was worth USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,944.03) to a buyer in September 2021. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Betty Parsons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 113,327.88).

Die Arbeit Totem-Materia-R von Betty Parsons war einem Käufer im September 2021 USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.944,03) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Betty Parsons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 113.327,88).
