Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Seven seas by Betty Parsons for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,411.68). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Betty Parsons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 113,327.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seven seas von Betty Parsons für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.411,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Betty Parsons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 113.327,88).
