Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Imitations; Things Seen; The Trace; Concerning the Meal; and The Party by Bernard Cohen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,147.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Cohen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grey Place in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imitations; Things Seen; The Trace; Concerning the Meal; and The Party von Bernard Cohen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.147,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grey Place im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44).
