Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Inside Outside by Bernard Cohen was sold in the London ColourModern British Art Online auction at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,085.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bernard Cohen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grey Place in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Inside Outside von Bernard Cohen wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion London ColourModern British Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.085,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grey Place im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44).
