Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction London ColourModern British Art Online, which included this untitled work by Bernard Cohen. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,265.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Cohen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grey Place in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion London ColourModern British Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bernard Cohen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.265,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grey Place im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44).
